Yes! In fact, shaving is encouraged. We recommend shaving the treatment area 24 hours prior to your laser session so the laser energy targets the follicle beneath the skin rather than burning hair on the surface. However, you should avoid waxing, plucking, or threading for at least 4 weeks before and during your treatment cycle, as these pull the root out.

Please cleanly shave the area being treated the evening or morning prior to your appointment. Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds, and sunless self-tanning products for at least 2 weeks beforehand. Avoid chemical exfoliants and retinoids on the treated area for 3–5 days prior.

You may experience mild pinkness or slight swelling around hair follicles similar to mild sunburn, which usually resolves within a few hours. We apply a soothing post-care product and provide comprehensive aftercare instructions. You can resume daily activities immediately, but we recommend avoiding saunas, hot tubs, heavy workouts, and direct sun exposure for 24–48 hours.
